Dear Sir, I had an intercourse with unknown person last year on february,unfortunately the condom got damaged & since then im scared about possibility if theres presence of HIV ,however after 7 months i got tested at an hospital for which is pre employment scanning done at hospitals which included hiv1 & hiv2.The result was negative however .Is pre-employment scanning effective which includes hiv1 & hiv2 offered by private hospitals

thank you for query.usually the tests done for pre employment tests will be for antibodies.So it will be for both HIV 1 and 2 .It has been done after 7 months and is negative .it implies that there are no antibodies formed even after 7 months of exposure.It is conclusive that you are free from HIV and you can allay fears of HIV Totally.If the lab in Private hospitals is accredited or well established lab you can rely totally on it.You can get back to me for any clarifications with the details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
