hello,
the postoperative care for varicose veins surgery includes operative wound care by proper aseptic dressing , mobilization for at least 30 min. twice daily to a flat ground, donot climb stairs and incline ground , avoid driving in 1st two week , there may be discoloration of lower limb in 1st week if stripping of vein was done along with the flush ligation but will disappear with time , analgesic to alleviate pain , limb elevation by putting pillow underneath and height of lift must be like that sole must be above the level of heart, wear elastic stocking atleast for 4 weeks, there may be swelling of operative limb if stripping was done due to defective drainage of lymphatic system but with time it improves when mobilization increases
