Suggest Remedies For A Persistent Feeling Of Something Stuck In The Throat

Within the last month I feel like there is something in my throat that I can t swallow. There is no pain and the sensation comes and goes. I am able to swallow food without any problems. My gastroenterologist has been following a GERD condition for the past 6 years with several endoscopies and multiple tissue samples. Early indications were pre Barretts condition but never any indication of cancer cells. I am a white male, 75 years old with overall good health. I take 40 mg pantoprazole 3 times a week. What is the best course of action at this point?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be acid reflux or conditions like tonsillitis.

As a first line management, you can do warm saline gargles for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
