Suggest Remedies For Extreme Pain In Testicles

Hi my husband has really bad bad pains in his nuts.He s beening treated for um sorry can t spell it but it sounds like a bug lol He s on Apo.Diclo 50mg PMS.Ciprofloxacin XL 500mg but the pain is 90/100 ..Can I put a heating pad under his nuts then ice??? Please please help him with the pain thank . Jay/Cass well I didn t know u had to pay am sorry to have wasted you time

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the description, it appears that your husband could be having infection in the testis called 'orchitis'.
What treatment he is receiving is fine with a course of antibiotics and antiinflammatory medications. He should consume good quantities of fluid and give scrotal support adequately. Applying cold packs would help in the region to decrease the pain and swelling. It is advised not to use heat as it would aggravate the symptoms.
Kindly abstain from sexual activities for at least 3 weeks to allow the tissues to be back to its normal.
Kindly do the necessary follow-up as advised. Gradually, he should feel better and be back to normal.
