Suggest Remedies For Pain And Stiffness In The Muscles Due To Sero Arthritis

Hi, I have been diagnosed with a type of arthritis called Seroarthritis (SA) which affect my elbow and knee joints. Currently, taking 12.5 methotrexate per week. However, I am experiencing muscle pain in my upper calf, inner knee area (when bending) and forearm causing stiffness and minimal movement. The pain is there whether I a sitting or standing. Heat has been applied but really no comfort. Is there anything I can do to ease the pain.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a rheumatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
