Suggest Remedies For Persistent Dry And Nagging Cough

Hey, I have had a cough for 2 months now. Was treated for Allergies with Flonase, zirtec and teslone pearls, that did not work. Then I was treated for Bronchitis with doxycycline, steroids, hydrocodone syrup and singulair. I have also had a Z-pak and nothing is helping. I have a dry nagging cough and it is very consistant. Doctor suggested I come in for x-ray and I wanted to know if it was something that I should do because it will be expensive without insurance. That would make the 3rd time going to the doctor

You are having chronic cough problem...

You are treated with antiallergic and antibiotic medication...

For such chronic cough detail Evaluation should be done with chest x ray and spirometry if needed

CBC Also done to rule out eosinophila...

Avoid smoking if habit

Auscultation done to look for rhonchi or rales if present

Above investigations help in rule out pneumonia consolidation, interstitial lung disease or COPD if present

According to cause specific treatment done

If x ray suspicious than sputum cytology and biopsy like higher investigation might needed
