Suggest Remedies For Persistent Pain And Soreness In Left Shoulder

i am a 67 year old male. I have a great deal of pain in my left shoulder. It started out as soreness and has progressed to the point of not being able to lift my arm without experiencing a lot of pain. I can position my arm so that the shoulder is very sore, but it isn t ever free of discomfort. I have been taking Ibuprofen (600 mg) every 6 hours or so, but that only seems to take the edge off the pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve I the shoulder.

Isuggest to continue using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen twice a day.

I also suggest to use ice compresses at the area of pain and do stretching exercises

If the symptoms continue I suggest to see a neurologist.

Hope my answer was helpful.
If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
Kind regards!
