Suggest Remedies For Recurring Diarrhea

I suffer from recurring one off diarrhoea, by which I mean every once or twice a month I would have one bowel movement of diarrhoea and after would be completely fine until the next few weeks. It often starts with horrible abdominal pains which would immediately go after I go to the toilet. I wondered if it was IBS since a notable time it hapened was just before boarding a plane, however it can also happen when I am comfortable in my own home with no plans or worries. As for food I might have eaten, there is nothing I can think of which I have eaten before every time which may be the cause. This is very annoying and would like to understand what it is.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to irritable bowel syndrome.

For that you can take tablet loperamide.

Take oral rehydration solution. Take lots of fluids and water.

For further assessment you may require Colonoscopy, stool analysis after gastroenterologist consultation.

Take soft food. Keep your self hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
