Suggest Remedies For Swollen, Painful And Red Fingers And Wrist Post Injury
I was cleaning out my garage and smashed my hand pretty good moving paint cans and other household chemicals. Although I don t see any broken skin, my entire back of my hand is red swollen and completely red, as well as swelling in my fingers and past my wrist to my elbow. It hurts so extremely bad, but it looks like there is a huge irregular shaped (possibly fluid filled? I don t know) bump that is very hot to the touch and extremely painful. Is this some sort of infection or abscess? Again, I don t see any broken skin but it hurts on a pain scale of 1-10 as a 12 EASILY. I have no medical insurance and just a month ago on my other hand I suffered a spider bite that had somewhat similar symptoms but not nearly as severe. What could this be? My pinkie and ring finger in particular are the most painful and it throbs constantly.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if the swelling is due to injury and if it is not being sent for x-ray study then first get done the x-ray to rule out the fracture if it is not the fracture then swelling could be due to soft tissue injuryNSAID can be tried hope this information helps.
