Hello and welcome to HCM, Acute appendicitis is characterized by fever, vomiting, pain around the umbilics initially followed by pain in the right lower abdomen. Along with these symptoms, there is elevated white blood cell count and increase in neutrophil counts. Since, there is abdominal pain, an ultrasound abdomen is suggested. Ultrasound abdomen will determine the status of all intra-abdominal organs.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
