Suggest Remedy For GERD After Emergency Appendectomy
I recently underwent an emergency appendectomy on 12.16.14. Since then my GERD has been terrible. I have upped my 20 mg of omeprazole to twice daily and I can still taste acid. Is this normal? Will this improve on its own? What can I do to help my symptoms?

I really appreciate your concern, the medicine that you are taking (Omeprazole ) is correct but the dose is not correct, ideally this need to be given once in day at evening time and it should be 40 mg along with Tab Domperidone 30 mg once in day at evening time, acid secretion in human body is more at evening time, so it is better to give it on this time only, hope this information helps, take care have a nice day.
