General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the abdomen cramps with heavy menses flow indicates possible hormone imbalance most likely. After thorough gynecologist examination, it is mandatory to get prescription of medications such as Primolut-N for a period of 3-5 days with Tranexamic acid for acute bleeding control.

The above should be followed by a gap of 5-7 days to wait for withdrawal bleeding. Later on from the fifth day of new menstrual cycle, intake of Ovral L or G on regular basis for a period of 3-6 months recommended in usual cases.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
