Hi,I am a male having constant urethra pain, which has built up over the course of a week. And is now suddenly constant, I.e. Not when urinating. My partner is prone to bladder infections, and is recently had to embark on another course of antibiotics. This will be the first time that any such infection may have been passed to me after 18 months of regular sexual activity. Is this in fact a common occurrence, and likely that a UTI has been passed on to myself ?
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows: 1. Yes, UTI has been transferred. 2. Get you urine microscopy and culture done to get appropriate treatment. 3. Avoid any sexual intercourse, until your partner is completely healed. Maintain good hygiene. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
