Suggest Remedy For Blotchy Rashes

Hi, I keep breaking out in a blotchy, red burning itchy rash spontaneously. I was put on an antibiotic for swollen glands in my neck 2 days prior to Christmas eve and broke out on that day then a day or 2 later. My Dr took me off after 2 doses. I didn't have another one until about 30 minutes ago. I feel really hot when it starts kind of like a hot flash. I am 51, female, hysterectomy at 39, on bio-identical estrogen and progesterone, synthroid, effexor, lamictal, amitriptyline, omeprazole.

Hi,

Your symptoms could be due to the medicines you are taking or due to hormonal changes. I would recommend you to take antihistaminic like tablet chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg once daily at bedtime for 3 weeks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
