Suggest Remedy For Boil Occurring At The Area Every Year
Hi, I have a huge boil that reappears every 3 to 4 years on the site of an episiotomy which was done over 17 years ago. I saw a Doctor about the situation. I ve had it removed surgically once. I was told after removing it through a surgical procedure, it would not reoccur. It always comes back. I was told that it was a gland that gets infected and it commonly occurs in some women.???.... If that is so, why?... And if not why am I having a boil on the same area every 3 years and how could I prevent them from coming back?
As per your case history of recurrent boils, my treatment advice is - 1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily. 2. Use potassium permanganate in water for bathing in dilution of 1: 10000. 3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on the affected skin. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, linezolid, and rifampicin given only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
