Hello, 2.5 weeks ago I was hit in the shin with a baseball. There is quite a large lump on my shin and still lot of bruising. My leg aches and there is still swelling in the evenings. I had an X-ray and was told there is no break. Is it possible to have a hairline fracture that was not detected in the X-ray. I will be traveling in a couple of weeks and am worried about the amount of walking I will be doing.
An X Ray will usually show an hairline fracture. You need to keep your foot elevated and take some anti inflammatory medication to reduce the swelling.
