Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 20 and have a decent size bump in between my thighs but not in my genital area. I had a couple smaller ones that oozed puss and blood and healed up. This one is much bigger and I tried to pop it like that other and it felt like blusters were popping under the skin but nothing was expelled from the bump. I ve had it for about a week and it seems to have gotten bigger. I also ride my bike everyday. could it be from my underwear rubbing wrong or something more serious?
Since you have a bump on the thigh you are suggested to take care of your hygiene. Avoid eating sugary food & carbohydrates.
Bumps are commonly caused by infections, inflammations, trauma, boils, carbuncles, tumors, etc.
Do not squeeze or pierce, avoid touching or pricking it. Warm and cold compress may help.
If it is a carbuncle get it evaluated you may need to get it drained & antiseptic dressing done.
Keep the healing wound clean. You may need a course of antibiotics (amoxycillin or augmentin) & analgesics if it is painful. Take medicines under your treating doctor or health care provider.
Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K
