Suggest Remedy For Burns Due To Steam

Thank u sir. I had a steam burn on my hand. I went to see the doctor and he prescribed silver nitrate gel. As soon as I applied it I began to feel better but d swell i.e. the bubbles began to enlarge. Is this normal. Can I pinch this bubble to let out the fluid in it. Thanks.

Hi,
Silver nitrate gel is good antiseptic cream and continue applying.
If blister formation is big then and then pinch and remove water from blister.
This might aggravate bacterial infection.
Apply thin layer of gel on the wound.
Apply ice pack for few days.
Ok and take care.
