Suggest Remedy For Difficulty In Feeding An Infant
Hello, My baby is 4.5 months old and from past 1 week he is finding difficulty in taking feed as he brings up milk while taking breastfeed. He tries to swallow it off along with sucking and ends up with short feed ( 5 to 10 mins feed) as it would create discomfort. Earlier he occasionally used to spit out after feed but during feed there was no problem at all. Now also he spits out, but we hold him up right for few mins and its manageable. But to see him taking feed with so much difficuly is making me feel bad. Could you please suggest what could be the cause and remedy for this. Thanks.

he may be having gastroesophageal Reflux. for confirming diagnosis GER SCAN (a radionuclide scan) needs to b done. or else he might b started on anti Reflux medicine such as esomeprazole, lansoprazole or metoclopromide
