Suggest Remedy For Fever In Children

Hi my son is 2 years old and he's had a fever for 4 days. I've been giving him fever reducer, but sunday i noticed his gums are swollen & red and has sores on them!!! He just ate a hot dog it seems not to bother him till I asked him to open his mouth. I'm very concerned what should I do?

Continue fever medicine till fever subsides, for gums, use oral topical steroids half an hour before meals.
