Suggest Remedy For Fever

My daughter had fever for the last 2 days. Today is her 3rd day. Last night she was relatively okay and we thought she was already well. Body temp was normal. We did not give her any paracetamol. Only to find out today when she'd gone to school that she has a fever (at 37.8C). Should we be worried?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. Thank you for your question. The most common cause of this type of scenario is a harmless viral illness. These usually pass after a few days without any long term issues. If the fever persists for another 2 to 3 days this could possibly be a bacterial infection. If this happens, I recommend you consult with your doctor. A bacterial infection can be easily treated with antibiotics.
