Suggest Remedy For Frequent Loose Motions

Hi Doc, My son is running 3rd month now. (came on 6th of oct). He is passing lot of motions and doctor has adviced to give Walamycin suspension syrup.How much qty and how many times shall i hav to give.his wt is 4.2 kg only withthat can i give hovite RB drops also?what is the use of it?plz tell me doctors.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
It is very important to find out the causes of frequent loose motions in a small child of 4 months with weight of 4.2 kg.
If the baby is breastfed, you have to clean the nipples properly with alcohol that evaporates completely.
If the baby is bottle fed then maintain the sterility of the bottles and nipplds by using steel bottles and sterilize by boiling in water for 20 minutes.
Also needed is to see if there is Amy intolerance particularly to lactose by appropriate stool tests.
Medication are to be strictly given as per the Pediatrician's recommendations.
