Hello,

From your description the seizures are due to a brain injury due to the trauma. It is hard to understand the extent since you provide no info on brain damage scale on imaging or EEG findings, do not also mention whether he has had any seizures during these following months.
Any brain injury may leave seizures as a consequence as the damaged tissue is prone to cause electrical discharges between the nerve cells. At times it may be a life long issue but it may also wane gradually with time, only time will tell, naturally the bigger the damage the higher the risk of seizures in the future. There is no drug which can alter the healing process, no particular remedy. All that can be done is to give seizure medication to prevent seizures. Even if he has no seizures medication is given for a long time, only if at least 2 years seizures free may gradual withdrawal be considered.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
