Suggest Remedy For Heavy Periods With Bright Red Bleeding

Hello, I ve had the implanon for about a year now, maybe more, I ve had erratic periods the whole time and before the implant my period was very painful and quite heavy. Just yesterday I noticed bright red but not heavy blood and thought nothing of it except my period starting, but today it was heavier and I had to use a tampon, after a while I went to the bathroom and had to change my underwear and jeans because this bright red almost pinkish blood had seeped right through, so I changed my tampon, and again I went to the bathroom and the same thing had happened. My period has always been heavy but never this bad, and it s never been such a bright red color before either. Is this something I should be worried about?

Hi,

As the first line of management, you can take drugs like Tranexamic acid for symptomatic relief. If symptoms are severe you can consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.
