Suggest Remedy For Hoarse Voice And Burning Sensation In Chest

I was eating dinner and food went down the wrong pipe. I could not breathe for a couple seconds. I managed to cough some up to be able to breathe. I coughed violently for another few minutes until I threw up everything I just ate. My voice is very hoarse and my chest is burning when I breathe. I m still coughing a bit and feeling the need to clear my throat quite often. Should I be worried about the pain in my chest? Does that mean the food went down into my lungs?

Its not possible for food to go down ur wind pipe it would hv caused choking, yes a droplet might hv gone down leading to reflex coughing. So do regular gurgling, do not talk while eating give rest to yr voice box n throat. You can take a course of an antibiotic for preventing from development of pneumonia. If you hv cough u can take a cough syrup.
