Suggest Remedy For Itching And Burning Sensation After Having Catheter

Hello, my grandmother had a catheter inserted for the first time after a urinary infection. The physician told her to leave it in for 4 days and to come back and have it removed. This was last night, this morning she is having a burning sensation and itching. What can I do to help her, other than take her back and have it removed early?
