Suggest Remedy For Itching Around Vagina

i am type 2 diabetic and i itch around vagina and iv been using nystacid ointment for over a year and i think the skin around my vagina has thinned and sex is uncomfortable and iv got piles in sometimes im constipated and sometimes i have diarrhea and im currently taking metformin 500 3 times a day

Hi,
I understand your query & concern.
Itching around vagina can be due to-
- Uncontrolled diabetes. To take proper dose of anti diabetic drugs as per physicians advise/ to follow dietary restrictions/ to have regular exercises are the ways to control such itching,
- Fungal infection. . this is mostly associated with white discharge & needs specific treatment of both sex partners.
- Dry skin/ excessive sweating can cause vaginal itching.
To avoid such conditions by justified use of moisturizers & use of vaginal pessaries to improve vaginal flora / Dusting power/ avoiding tight fitting, synthetic undergarments would help.
- The ointment Nystacid is anti fungal ointment.. which can disturb vaginal normal flora to cause dryness/ thinning of the skin. .This can be managed by using vaginal probiotic pessaries/ applying non irritant moisturizer .
