Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic
From your query I can gather that you feel burning/stinging sensation when you urinate.
Burning sensation while passing urine is due to
urethritis i.e inflammation of the
urethra.
I would have liked to know more from your regarding the nature of these sexual contacts and whether they were protected or not and whether there is some urethral discharge or not.
Therefore, If your recent sexual contacts were unprotected you must get yourself screened for STD's
Certain STD's can cause urethritis like
gonorrhea and chlamydia, however, protected sex eliminates the possibility of these STD's
Non-specific urethritis can also be caused by soaps or shower gels getting into the urethra and causing inflammation. This causes a stinging sensation when urine passes over the inflammed urethra, however, there is no discharge.
I suggest you to use just plain lukewarm water to clean this region as soaps and shower gels can get in through the meatus and irritate urethra.
You may visit a sexual health specialist for
counselling regarding safe sexual practices.
