Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a partial colectomy (right) 3 months ago. Am beginning to have an "almost normal" BM in the a.m., but a little later will have a large, very loose (watery) bm, and it appears there is some un-digested food in it. Should I continue eating just regular food, as my dr. advised, or eat a soft diet? Oh, I am 84, 5'5", 118 lbs.
It might be simply increase colonic motility which is causing you to have such large volume of stool. Just get your ESR and CRP done for active inflammation. Continue eating normal diet
