Suggest Remedy For Lump And Pain In Knee

Hi, my mam has rheumatoid arthritis, she had a knee replacement about 8 years ago. She has recently started suffering pain below her knee, there has been a soft lump just under her knee for about 2years but it turned hard about 6 months ago. Have you any idea what this could be?
Thanks Louise

General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

based from your description, it could be an inflammatory or a fibrotic reaction. it is best if you do a follow-up with your orthopedic surgeon for medical and physical examination as it may or may not be related to his previous condition. further diagnostics and management will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
