Suggest Remedy For Lumps
Hi, I was hit by a line drive in the thigh during a softball game. I have had a serious bruise ( about the whole side of my thigh) for about a week. My leg is sore now, and there is a large, hard lump in the center of the bruise ( at point of impact) What can I do? And should I be concerned?

Such lump is most likely a blood collection caused by recent injury (hematoma). Injury can also cause veins thrombosis which gives similar symptoms (hard an painful lump along with painful calf).
In case of hematoma, it may turn into an abscess. That is why it needs to be drained. Veins thrombosis needs heparine treatment.
So in both cases you need to consult a doctor. Please do not wait with it.
