Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history about your Mother who ate a lot of food and drank lots of water along with fruits. While siting straight from the turned to right position she got severe pain in the rib cage as if food is stuck, have discomfort.
No one releases the food from ribs hence do not be under wring impression.
This may be a form of costochondritis.
Give her analgesics and anti-inflammatory medicines to alleviate the pain.,
Take her to ER or your Doctor for clinical examination and proper prescription based treatment and to get further tests if required.
Apply hot fomentation.
Give rest to the area.
Not to overeat again.
Please get confirmation by ruling out other issues by X-ray of the chest and the ultrasonography of the abdomen.
