Suggest Remedy For Pain In Abdomen And Abnormality In Bowel Movements

HELLO MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN HAVING SOME ISSUES SINCE MAY 6, 2015. ON THIS DAY HE WENT TO THE ER WITH UPPER LEFT QUADRANT ABDOMINAL PAIN AND VOMITING. THE LABS SHOWED WBC COUNT OF 17,000, 30 URINE PROTIEN, AND BLOOD IN URINE. THE ER SAID THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT WHAT WAS WRONG AND THAT HE NEEDED TO SEE HIS PRIMARY. THEY DID NOT DO ANY TESTING OTHER LABS AND AN EKG. EKG WAS NORMAL OTHER THAN HIS INCOMPLETE LEFT BUNDLE BRANCH BLOCK WE ALREADY KNEW OF. SINCE THEN THE PAIN HAS REMAINED BUT NOT AS SEVERE. HE HAS BEEN TAKING 8MG ZOFRAN ALMOST DAILY. HIS BOWELS HAVE CHANGED AS WELL. HE HAS TO STRAIN TO DEFICATE BUT IT S WATERY NOT FORMED AT ALL. HE IS IN THE BATHROOM MULTIPLE TIMES PER DAY.

Hello
welcome to health care magic, I really appreciate your concern for your husband.

High WBC count (17000) along with protein and blood in urine is a matter of concern which might be related to urine infection.

Watry stool again might be associated with acute gastroenteritis or food poisoning.

In my opinion he may require a course of antibiotics like ofloxacin and ornidazole group of drugs with antiacidity medicines like pantoprazole and antacids.

I would advise him to take plenty of fluids orally like fruit juices, lemon water mixed with salt and sugar and ORS solution not only to counter dehydration and electrolyte imbalances caused by loose stools but it will also help by flushing off the urogenital tract and clearing of urine infection.

Hope this answers your question
Best wishes
