General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Appendicitis can be suspected in her case. Physical examination by a general surgeon should be carried out. Ultrasound examination should be done to rule out the cause. If appendicitis , kidney stones and other pelvic pathology are ruled out by ultrasound examination then it can be most likely gastritis. In such case therapy with proton pump inhibitors like rabeperazole and motility enhancers like domperidone will be helpful. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
