Suggest Remedy For Painful Rib

For several years, my right lowest rib has been painful. It feels like if it were just cut out the pain would be relieved. My family practice dr ordered an ultrasound and an MRI 2 yrs ago, but found nothing. Recently, the pain got worse. Plus, the skin is often red, inflammed, and itchy. The only way to relieve the pain is to lay down on my left side and not to wear a bra. I am concerned this has gotten worse. My rheumatologist thinks it is due to fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis, but i am not convinced. Any ideas or suggestions?

Hello I have studied your case.
as your MRI was normal possibility of any lesion is less likely.
you should do fresh investigation to rule outllesion near rib.CT scan and PET scan may help.
Another possibility of fibrosis and Fibromyalgia leading to pain.
Neurotropic medication like pregabalin and methylcobalamine can be started consulting your doctor.
I hope I have answered your questions. If you have further questions please feel free to contact us. I will be happy to answer. Take care.
