I ve had hints of blood in my urine for many years and they have never found any infection, etc. just had a cycstocopy and dr saw a dimple like spot at dome of my bladder and I had a MRI today! Don t know what this will show, but I was inside that tubelike tunnel for at least 30 minutes with loud noises off and on most of time. What could be wrong? Persistent dysuria...
What does urine routine show- any increase in pus cells>5/HPF... If yes it may be due to infection, Tuberculosis, cancer or carcinoma in situ, or stone.
ultrasound and cystoscopy can rule out ureteric or bladder stone.
Get urine cytology..If positive chances of carcinoma in situ is there. If negative u can't rule out CIS. u will require blue light cystoscopy. MRI may not be diagnostic.
Get urine for AFB with early morning samples. This will help to rule out GUTB.
Also cystoscopy with random biopsies may be helpful to rule out CIS and GUTB.
If all these r fine, then u may have interstial cystitis and amytryptine may be helpful.
