Suggest Remedy For Persistent Lump On The Shin With Pain Post Injury

My daughter was hit in the shin with a fast pitch softball about three and a half weeks ago. It was quite bruised and painful. She s always been able to walk on it but when she runs, it is painful. She has a lump on her shin where she was hit. She s had three visits with a physical therapist but it s really not improving. Should she get an X-ray? See a doctor?

I really appreciate your concern, such injury could cause the soft tissue inflammation but may be associated with fracture and this need to be ruled out and for that better to get done the x-ray, and in case of fracture you suppose to see the orthopedic surgeon, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
