Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

Persistent vomiting can be because of gastro-intestinal issues but needs to be evaluated further by various tests.

Considering this case here I will want to rule out most common infective or digestive causes of intestine first.

Your girl friend might require some routine blood works with ESR,blood electrolytes, ultrasound abdomen and upper GI endoscopy to rule out infective cause.

Meanwhile, anti-emetics like tab.ondaserton 3 or 4 times a day along with other medications will be helpful.

Consult physician for complete treatment.

Regards,
I find this answer helpful
