what makes a 8 yr old child become phobic of germs,such as washing hands,she says she dont know what she is breathing in her mouth so she breaths thru her nose an exhales const thru her mouth,like she is flustrated,an she has thoughts of harming herself

Hi...your kid is having symptoms suggestive of - OCD - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She will require psychological counseling. I suggest you get in consultation with a pediatric clinical psychologist.
