Suggest Remedy For Pressure Under Scar Post Surgery

I had inguinal hernia surgery with a mesh put in 8 weeks ago. I still feel pressure under the scar and feel stinging sometimes when bending over or standing. Is this normal? My surgeon said 6 weeks ago that I could lift as much as I wanted and do normal activities 6 weeks after surgery. Is this correct? Can I resume all normal activities including weight lifting?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Six weeks is the time frame normally given after hernia repair before normal weight activities can be resumed.

Since this time has passed, unless your doctor should indicate other wise, you can consider restarting your weight training exercises.

I hope this helps
