All of a sudden I had a terrible urge to pee, but I couldn t, just very little here and there. I sat on the toilet for 2 hours trying to relieve the pressure but it just wouldn t stop. I couldn t sleep very well either. I just started my period that same day. Drink mostly water, and occasionally some coffee. My fiance and I haven t seen each other in a while since he s in the military and we had a lot of sex while he was home on leave. And now the pressure of having to pee is gone but when I do use the restroom there is some blood coming from my clitorous and a sharp pain after I m done urinating. Please help, not sure why all of a sudden my body is acting so strangely. I thought maybe just to much pressure on my bladder from the sex but now I m worried.
You need to do a urine test to confirm the UTI. You can even do it at home they are called dipstick test kits and you can take it without a prescription.
If the test is positive for UTI than probably you need to take antibiotics and for that you need to check up with your family doctor for the recipe.
Meanwhile keep drinking liquids, around 2-3 liters per day would be great. Fresh fruit juice, cranberry juice would be the best option,it helps clean your bladder and help your immune system to fight the bacteria.

Hello and thank you for consulting HCM. I have read your symptoms and i understand your concerns. In my clinic,i work with a lot of patients with symptoms like yours. -the urge to urinate, blood in urine (even cloted) ,pelvic discomfort ect are signs of an urinary tract infection, probably a cystitis (infection of your bladder) You need to do a urine test to confirm the UTI. You can even do it at home they are called dipstick test kits and you can take it without a prescription. If the test is positive for UTI than probably you need to take antibiotics and for that you need to check up with your family doctor for the recipe.
