Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Been constipated for about 10 days now. Unable to have a BM. Saw a family prac. on Monday who did a x-ray and said ther was only a little fecal matter in my gut. Gave me some laxitives and sent me on my way. Now 5 days later and still no joy. Went to the ER on the advise of the family prac. where they did additional blood work and more imaging. The ER doc says there doesn't appear to be any significant stopages or gas pockets. Told me to stop the laxitives. Is it possible that one can eat normally for almost 2 weeks and not go #2? Where is it all going? no pun intended, but is the doc right or am I just full of shit?
