Suggest Remedy For Recurring Cough In A Child With Temporary Relief From Antibiotics

This is nidhi, I have 3 yrs old baby. He is suffering from very danger cough from last 2months.dr. gave jim antibautica n anotherbcough syrups, but relief fir sone times. But after 2 or 3 days, cough start again, now he is in cough as well as in fever.what to do please give me some home rremedies suggestions.

Hi,

I can understand your concern.

Home remedies may not be enough if the baby has cough with fever.

Monitor for the following in a child with cough.
1.     Rapid breathing.
2.     Chest indrawing while breathing.
3.     Abnormal noise while breathing.
4.     Nasal flaring
5.     Bluish discoloration of fingers (cyanosis)
6.     Irritability or lethargy
If your baby has any of these you should consult your doctor immediately

Since your baby is having fever please consult your doctor. A change of antibiotic may be required.
