Suggest Remedy For Severe Pain After A Hip Replacement Surgery
I had my right hip replaced in Feb 2015. My leg locks, with severe pain, after I stand awhile, or get up from sitting. Can the replacement be failing? . I m on vacation, & so is my surgeon, so I need to know how to handle this for the next 2 weeks. Thank you.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe pain after a hip replacement surgery. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like brusitis , nerve injury or infection after hip surgery . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor mat order CT scan or MRI to check the abnormality . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may open the site for treatment or drain the pus . For now take proper rest and use of this joint can further complicate the condition and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
