Suggest Remedy For Severe Pain In Ball Of Foot After Having Broken Metatarsals

I had an accident 4 weeks ago and broke my 3rd & 4th metatarsals. The injury was from hitting the top of my foot. I ve been wearing a walking boot all this time. I m still not doing better. I m wondering what else could be causing lots of pain in the ball of my foot still. Usually, broken bones are starting to feel better by now, but this is getting worse... Any suggestions, recommendations, advice, etc would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you had an accident four weeks ago and broke my 3rd & 4th metatarsals .Generally these fractures heal in nearly 6 weeks but fractures may remain painful up to 6 months. So you can take analgesics such as ibuprofen for pain relief .Active mobilizations exercises of toes and foot will be of benefit. My recommendation is active exercises, analgesics and remain as active as you can to become physiological normal. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care
