I sprained my finger about 9 years ago, in the 7th grade and wore a finger brace from the doctor for about 1 month. I didn t follow through with the recovery process I had planned with my doctor and father at the time ans just neglected the finger brace, and continued on with a sprained finger. Being a care free youngster I wasn t really frightened about the pain or understood the consequences I d face by removing the finger brace. It all started when an exceptionally large and heavy object smashed my finger, and to my understanding, felt and looked like it was sprained. Its on my left hand, ring finger and it is slightly slanted, nothing serious, and there is no locking . Am I still able to brace my finger to keep it straight possibly returning my finger back to normal? Or is it too late? My finger is just slightly slanted only from the tip of my ring finger, to the distal phalanx
