Suggest Remedy For Snapped Implant

Hi I m am slightly concerned about my implant, due to the fact that I like to feel it in my arm. It feels snapped now but I don t know if its just bent, if its bent then does it make any changes? Or could it be snapped? Also I got my implant placed in on the 19th of february 2014 and I am still on my period, and that concerns me aswell. Could you please explain what could be happening.

Hello,

Since you have your implant since 2014 and now you feel its snapped or bent you are suggested to get it removed or replaced as its efficacy will decrease and it may present with some complications. You are suggested to visit your doctor who inserted the implant and get clinically examined, you may be recommended to have an X-ray / imaging test done to see if the implant is bent or broken. Removal of broken implant may need the risk of removal by a second small incision if the removal by pop-out technique doesn't work.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
