Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat, Swollen Tonsils And Lymph Nodes Due To Mono
I went to an urgent care canter 3 months ago with a really bad sore throat and swollen tonsils and lymph nodes, they did a strep test and it was negative they gave me antibiotics and it went away for a while. Saturday I went to them again with the exact same symptoms so them once again did a strep test but this time a mono test, again the strep was negative but the mono was positive so I was given a medicine to help with the swelling but the 2-3 day they said it would take for it to start helping my tonsils are not going down but getting bigger and now I have started developing black spots on them along with white spots. I was just wondering what I should do.
I had gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
The Mononucleosis illness is usually self-limited and subsides on its own. Steroids are advised occasionally for the treatment of severely swollen tonsils or throat tissues which threaten to obstruct breathing.
I also recommend symptomatic treatment like analgesics like tablet paracetamol or ibuprofen for pain relief.
Salt water gargling for symptomatic relief.
You will be fine.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help you.
Wish you a good health and speedy recovery.
