Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat With Drooling And Bad Breath

I have a 3 year old boy who has barely eaten for the past 5 days. His throat is sore, tongue is white, he is drooling quite a lot and his speech is affected and has bad breath - he is drinking some fluids but is hardly eating any food at all. He does not have a fever.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The sore throat and bad breath could be because of the bacterial infection. the bad breath could be because of the gum infection or any pus discharge from the tooth or gum infection. During any infection the salivary secretion increases.
Consult a oral physician and get yourself examined and take a course of antibiotics like combination of penicillin and metronidazole (if you are not allergic), do saline gargling. i hope my answer will help you, take care

Thanks for using Health Care Magic.

Read your query.

The symptoms that you have mentioned regarding your child indicate throat infection and fever may or may not follow up.

I would advice you to continue giving him a lot of fluids as and whenever you can. Please visit his local pediatrician and start up with the dose of antibiotic as prescribed by him. Once the throat infection settles down the bad breath will subside and also the related signs will go .

Keep him hydrated .

Hope this was helpful.

Thanks and regards.

Hello thanks for consulting at hcm..He might be having a fungal infection called candidiasis, hence that white appearance on the tongue..

It might be causing drooling of saliva, speech alterations and bad breath..
He will be needing topical antifungal cream..topical anesthetic like anabel gel,,

Since he is taking fluids, hydrate him well with soups and porridges..

Good, he does not have fever..

Either ways please consult a oral physician for a check up and treatment..

Hope it helps,,take care..
