Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my son is 2yr and 9 months.he is not at all responding to name call, and he have speech delay also,he will rept every thing clearly what ever we will say,but he will talk very little himself, all his mile stones are in correct time except speech,he is less intrest in playing with others,he will all the song he will here once or twice ,and he is very much intrested in T V adds and music
I went through your details. If your child is able to repeat all you utter, and if he is able to talk when probed, there will not be any speech related or vocal chord related problems. The child is not hyper active and it signifies the problem is not ADHD. Attention deficit alone can also affect a child. Cannot be clubbed under autistic spectrum because all other developmental milestones are OK.
I do not think anything is wrong with the child. This could just be a case of proper circumstantial training and shyness. Make your child talk everywhere and take him everywhere and talk. He will improve. You may consult a speech pathologist for investigation.
